Forest Ecophysiology: New Mexico State University. This position will be located at the John T Harrington Forestry Research Center in Mora, NM. This position will be a split appointment of research and teaching. The incumbent will develop a research program that will focus on elements within the reforestation pipeline (i.e., seed selection and genetics, plant production, silvicultural planting practices, and/or monitoring protocols) in the context of a changing climate known as Climate Smart Reforestation. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong background in woody plant physiology that allows for both basic and applied research projects. Specific areas of focus may include developing and understanding a range of strategies that provide seedlings with targeted genetic, morphological, and/or physiological traits that result in greater seedling survival and growth across a range of environmental conditions that includes drought and thermal anomalies. The incumbent will also take a leading role in developing and teaching course(s) on the "Introduction to Forestry" and/or "Tree Physiology". See the full job ad for details and to apply. Closes: Mar 22 2024. Posted: 1/30/24.

Comparative Animal Physiology/Ecophysiology: Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology (EEOB) in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University (ISU) seeks a comparative animal physiologist or ecophysiologist. This position is part of a broader hiring initiative to expand established departmental and campus-wide expertise in environmental sustainability and global change biology.
